Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live, and its mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.

Founded in 2001, Habitat for Humanity Brampton built our first house in 2004 and finished our third build in 2009. Starting in 2011, we plan to build 36 new homes over the next 10 years. 

Habitat for Humanity Brampton believes in the worth and dignity of every human being.  We offer a homeownership program for families who are looking to improve their quality of life through a meaningful, committed, and mutually beneficial partnership. Habitat Homeowners pay an interest free mortgage on their home that is truly a hand up not a hand out.

Habitat for Humanity Brampton's building program is financed by private donations from individuals, groups, corporations, foundations, schools and faith-based organizations.

Revenues from our Brampton ReStore fund Habitat for Humanity Brampton and cover the charity’s administrative fees. This means that all the money raised by Habitat for Humanity Brampton through corporate and individual giving goes directly towards building homes.

Habitat for Humanity Brampton is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada  which is a member of Habitat for Humanity International, the largest not-for-profit home builder in the world.
